Concepts for Mars Exploration Mars: -38M 13:19 LMST Earth: 2012-06-28 20:08 PDT A little while ago Dad went to Houston to propose electric propulsion as a viable way to make an MSR (Mars Sample Return) mission work.  At about 52:37 Dr. Oh will get up and give his talk about how electric propulsion is a cheaper, more efficient means of getting a spacecraft from Earth to Mars and back again....

We're going onto Mars time
Mars: -51M 22:11 LMST Earth: 12-06-14 19:59 PDT I’m Sunspark, and for the month of August our family is going onto Mars time.  Dad is the “Lead Flight Director” of the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL).  MSL is the next Mars rover, known more commonly as Curiosity.  Dad flies it and it will land in August.  Once it’s on the surface, the Mars team at JPL (including Dad)...
